Whether you work in a virtual office environment or not, every entrepreneur relies on their smartphone to get work done when they are in the field. Some entrepreneurs have become so dependent on their smartphones that they use them even when they are in their offices. If you are going to use your smartphone as a business tool, then there are a few essential apps that you must have.

Dropbox

Dropbox is great because it can sync up with all of your other computing devices and allow you to have access to your documents and files no matter where you are. You can also use tools like this to make changes to documents when you are on the road and download important files that you can look at when you are in front of your desktop computer or on your laptop.

EverNote

Every successful entrepreneur has a “to do” list, and EverNote offers the best reminder service available. Once again, this app is convenient because it can sync up with your other computing devices and make sure that you always know when and where your next appointment will be. This app also allows you to save audio reminders and download itineraries of any upcoming meetings or trips to help you remember where you are going and what you will be doing.

Producteev

Delegating tasks is a common occurrence for entrepreneurs, and it can get confusing to keep track of everything when you are not always in the office. Producteev is a free app that allows you to log and track tasks that you delegate to your employees, independent contractors, and anyone else. It allows you to exchange messages with your service providers, get progress updates, and know when a task has been completed.

HelloSign

If your job requires you to review and sign a lot of agreements, then you know how inconvenient it can be to have to keep going back to the office to review and sign something. With HelloSign, you can review and sign documents on your phone without ever having to break your stride. You can sign with your finger, or you can use a stylus for more accuracy. The signatures you make on HelloSign are just as binding as if you had left your meeting early and trudged all the way back to the office to do it.

TrackMaven

TrackMaven is a neat app because it tells you what the competition is up to in real time. You tell TrackMaven who your competition is, and the app presents a flow of marketing information about that competition that you can sift through and use at your leisure. This app is really nice because it will wind up giving you information that you probably would not be able to find on your own. It is not just a time-saver, but it can also be your competitive edge.

Entrepreneurs use their smartphones constantly for business and other needs. Since you use your smartphone so much, it is a good idea to have all of the tools on it that you need to be successful.
